Dong Quai / Angelica sinensis / Apiaceae

Dong Quai is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine as a remedy for menstrual issues, menopausal symptoms and a host of other gynecological disorders. Consumption of the root stimulates the central nervous system, dilates blood vessels and increases blood flow. It has a strong affinity for the blood, potentially normalizing blood pressure, increasing blood oxygen, improving poor circulation, increasing energy and combating fatigue.

Herbal Actions: Uterine tonic, Antioxidant, Anti-inflammatory, Circulatory tonic, anti inflammatory, emmenagogue

Dosage and Safety: 25-50 drops, 2-3 times daily. High doses may cause sensitivity to sun exposure. May interact with prescription drugs. Avoid during pregnancy and lactation.
