Calendula Officinalis / Calendula / Asteraceae
Dried calendula, also known as marigold, is prized for its versatile medicinal benefits. It possesses potent anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, making it valuable in treating various skin conditions such as wounds, cuts, and rashes. Calendula is commonly used in topical preparations such as creams, ointments, and salves to soothe irritated skin and promote healing. Additionally, it has been traditionally used to relieve symptoms of minor burns, sunburns, and insect bites due to its soothing and cooling effects on the skin.
All of my dried herbs are either from my garden or locally sourced from small farms in southern Oregon.
Herbs are sold in solid brown bags to keep light off of them and preserve the quality of the herbs.
